About The American Security Challenge
The American Security Challenge is the nation’s only competition to encourage and support emerging companies move their security technology to the frontline of our nation’s defense.
Through a variety of public and private sector partners the Challenge invites emerging security technology companies to submit their broad business plan for review by a distinguished panel of judges.
From over 200 initial submissions, 25 companies are selected to submit more detailed information which is scored based on their combination of the best business model and the most versatile application to secure the nation’s people and critical assets.
From that 25, six finalists are selected to present and compete at the American Security Challenge event for millions of dollars in investment capital, this year provided by Chart Venture Partners, and contracting opportunities provided by Alion Science and Technology Corporation.
This year’s finalists, Hi-G-Tek, MindCo, Prioria Robotics, Innovative Wireless Technologies, EMZA Visual Sense and Cinch Systems were all top of their class in a variety of security applications from perimeter security to high tech advanced surveillance.
