“Homegrown terrorism” has become a major national security concern, as reflected in the discussion of the issue in the Obama administration’s new national security strategy. However, this phenomenon is not new: Americans have been drawn to the jihadist movement for decades. Along with two colleagues, I have produced a new slideshow, published today at the Long War Journal, that illustrates their stories.
